FAQ

Each earcuff has a microphone. During calls, only one of the microphones on the left or right side is used.

There is a button on each earcuff (behind the ear).
These buttons allow operations such as play/pause, answer/end call, volume up/down, and next/previous track.
The use of buttons instead of touch sensors prevents accidental operation.

The default button settings are as follows.
Note: Button assignments can be customized in the ambie app.

The AM-TW02 can be manually turned off using the earcuff buttons.

[How to Turn Off the Power]
Click the button on the earcuff once and then press and hold it for 2 seconds.

The LED on the charging case indicates the following.

<While charging the case>
• Orange light: Charging
• White light: Fully charged

<When not charging the case>
• Orange flashing: Less than 30% case battery remains

<While charging the earcuffs>
• Off: Charging complete/Charging paused
• Orange light: Charging

Charging from a computer can be done using the included USB cable.

Please follow the steps below for regular maintenance.

Earcuff and charging case maintenance
If the earcuffs get wet or foreign matter adheres to them, remove the socks and wipe the earcuffs with a soft, dry cloth until completely clean and dry. Leave them to air dry at room temperature before placing them back in the charging case.

Although the charging case is water-resistant (IPX4), please note that charging the earcuffs while they are wet with moisture (especially sweat) may corrode the terminals.

If dirt or foreign matter is adhered to the charging terminals
If dirt or foreign matter adheres to the charging terminals, this may cause poor contact, resulting in the earcuffs not being detected in the case and playback not stopping.
Try to resolve the issue by following the maintenance steps below.
• Wipe the charging terminals of the earcuffs with a dry cloth.
• Clean the charging terminals of the charging case with a cotton swab.

Maintenance of the socks
The socks are consumables. If they become damaged or deteriorated, please purchase replacement socks (AMS-01), which are sold separately.

If oil (such as from cosmetics, creams, or cleaning oils) gets on the socks, remove the socks from the earcuffs, wipe off the oil with a dry cloth, and wash the socks in warm water (30-40°C/85-105°F). After wiping off the moisture, allow them to air dry completely at room temperature.
Note: If moisture remains on the earcuffs, also wipe them with a dry cloth and allow them to dry before attaching the socks.

No, they do not use bone conduction. They use our unique speaker technology to deliver sound directly down the ear canal, providing a natural listening experience with minimal sound leakage.

Due to the open-ear design, complete sound isolation is not possible, but the unique structural design minimizes leakage to a level suitable for everyday use.

What are ambie socks?

ambie socks are replaceable silicone covers designed specifically for the fully wireless model of ambie sound earcuffs.
(Applicable models: AM-TW01、AM-TW02)

How to distinguish the left and right ambie socks
The side with a raised bump next to the ambie logo is for the left ear.

How to change ambie socks
① Remove the socks.
First, remove the original socks from each earcuff.
Gently pinch the end of the socks without using your nails and remove it.

② Attach the socks.
Place the socks over the back of the earcuff, pinch gently, and pull it over the front and rear balls.
Note: For the AM-TW02, be careful not to overstretch the bridge area when changing the socks.

Refer to the video below.

① Confirm which earcuff is right and left.
② Hold the earcuff so that the smaller ball faces towards the ear canal.
③ Gently pull the ear cartilage to flatten it, then insert the ambie like an ear cuff from the thin edge of the ear, and adjust it to a position where the sound is clear.

As a tip, start by placing the earcuff at the upper part of the ear (where the ear is slightly thinner) and then slide it down to the best listening position.
For ambie, the smaller ball should be in front, and the larger ball in the back. Please be careful not to wear the earcuffs the backwards.

Note: When attaching or removing the earcuffs, avoid stretching them, because doing so causes strain and may lead to damage.

The design of the AM-TW02 and AM-TW01 is largely similar, but they can be differentiated as follows.

The AM-TW02 model is labeled with "ambie AM-TW02" at the following locations:
• The inside of the charging case lid
• The bridge section of the earcuff after removing its sock
If there is no label, it is an AM-TW01.

Additionally, the shape of the hinge on the back of the charging case is different.

The AM-TW01 and AM-TW02 charging cases are not interchangeable.
Please charge the AM-TW02 earcuffs in the AM-TW02 charging case and the AM-TW01 earcuffs in the AM-TW01 charging case.

Check the connection.
• Ensure that there are not already two devices connected via multipoint.

After use, be sure to clean them gently as described below.

Please contact the Customer Support Center.

Avoid excessively stretching or twisting the bridge that connects the two balls, or placing anything thicker than your ear between them. Doing so may damage them.

How to initialize and reset the AM-TW02

① If any devices are connected to the earcuffs, disconnect all devices. (When all connections are disconnected, the LED on each earcuff will flash.)
② Briefly press both the R and L earcuff buttons simultaneously 5 times. If successful, the LEDs will blink rapidly 3 times and then turn off temporarily.
③ After that, the AM-TW02 will automatically restart, and the LEDs will flash slowly. When initialization is complete, the flashing will speed up slightly, and you will hear the voice prompt "Pairing".
Note: Restarting may take a few seconds, so please wait until the LEDs light up without putting the earcuffs back in the case.

Unopened products have insulation film on the earcuff terminals.
Take out the R/L earcuffs, peel off the insulation film, and place the earcuffs back in the charging case.
The earcuffs will turn on.

To prevent battery degradation, the earcuffs do not recharge after reaching full charge until the case lid is opened and closed once.
Therefore, if the earcuffs are unused for an extended period, their battery level may gradually decrease.
Open and close the lid to recharge the earcuffs before use.

When the remaining battery level of the charging case drops below 5%, it stops charging the earcuffs.
Check the lamp indicator when opening or closing the case. If it flashes orange, the battery level of the case is low, so connect the charging cable to recharge the case.
